Joe Rogan Experience/ Screengrab
2018 has been quite a trip for Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, who has acted in an erratic fashion for a large chunk of the last 12 months.
Whether it was calling a cave diver a pedo, claiming to have invented subways or 'selling Fornite' he has been up to all sorts and not many people are fans of his behaviour.
Perhaps his most notorious moment was when he smoked weed on the Joe Rogan Podcast, an incident that cost him a lot of money and resulted in Nasa investigating health and safety standards at SpaceX.
Yet in an interview with Lesley Stahl for 60 Minutes, the South African philanthropist has defiantly stated that he doesn't smoke marijuana and doesn't have any idea how to smoke it or anything for that matter.
The 47-year-old said:
I am somewhat impulsive. I don't really want to try to adhere to some CEO template.
I do not smoke pot. As anyone who watched that podcast can tell I have no idea how to smoke pot, or anything.
It's perfectly possible that Musk is telling the truth here as, during the interview with Rogan, Musk didn't appear to inhale any smoke or know what he was supposed to do with a joint.
This doesn't really excuse Musk as he really shouldn't have gone anywhere near the substance and it's likely to a moment that will follow him around for years to come.
Beside this, Stahl also pressed Musk on his unusual actions on Twitter, which have apparently cost his investors a lot of money.
Musk shunned the criticism and claimed the tweet were down to stress:
I use tweets to express myself. Some people use their hair, I use Twitter.
I'm just being me.
I mean, I was certainly under insane stress and crazy, crazy hours... But the system would have failed if I was truly erratic.
