France’s burkini ban has made a lot of people very angry.

The ban, which came into effect a few weeks ago, is only growing in infamy as French Muslim women are subjected to public searches and fines.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan was quick to condemn the ban, and told the Evening Standard:

I’m quite firm on this. I don’t think anyone should tell women what they can and can’t wear. Full stop. It’s as simple as that.

Designer Amy Clancy even created a cartoon to demonstrate the ridiculous nature of it (below), and people organised a “beach party” in front of the French embassy in London on Thursday.

But no one has summed up the entire tragic affair quite so ferociously as the Muslim Council of Britain.

When indy100 asked the group for a comment, it sent back a single, damning sentence:

The French authorities are in good company: the only other people forcing women to change their clothing at gun point are Daesh.
