Gang smuggled £622million worth of meth in push-up bras

Four members of a Chinese gang have been arrested in one of the biggest ever drugs hauls in Australian history after being caught trying to smuggle meth in gel inserts for push up bras.

Three Hong Kong and one Chinese national have been charged for their roles in organising the smuggling of 190 litres of liquid meth from mainland China to Sydney, via Hong Kong.

Another 530 litres were found in five Sydney warehouses and traced back to the same gang.

Around £622million of the drug was seized, or 3.6million individual hits, Australian Justice Minister Michael Keenan told reporters on Monday.

Meth - or ice - is one of the most widely used illegal drugs in the country, police said.
