In pictures: fire engulfs Eastbourne Pier

East Sussex Fire and Rescue crews attended the scene of a fire at 144-year-old Eastbourne Pier this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to reports of a small fire at 3.13pm, according to the fire brigade's website.

It is believed the fire started in wood panelling in a part of the Victorian-era pier that houses arcade games.

As of 5pm East Sussex Fire and Rescue said there were no reports of any injuries.
