It's so hot in Saudi Arabia the lizards are running away

The sun is has finally deigned to bless the UK with its presence, unrolling 30 degrees celcius heat across Britain.

But it is nothing compared to Saudi Arabia: the country is currently blanketed in 44 degrees C, and record temperatures have reached as high as 52 degrees in summer before.

In fact, it’s so hot in the desert the lizards – cold blooded creatures whose makeup by definition should make them love scorching temperatures – have called it a day.

The following video is making its rounds on Reddit, and well, you’ll see why:

In the clip, you can see a lizard dash across the desert like the devil himself is after it.

Did it spot something tasty? An oasis?
