Jennifer Aniston is single again and everyone is pointing out the same thing

In news that will please almost nobody, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have announced that they have broken up.

The Hollywood couple, who've been together since 2011 and married since 2015, decided to end speculation about their relationship in a joint statement.

No direct reason was given for the split, which actually happened last year, but they've both vowed to continue their friendship.

BuzzFeed quotes the pair as stating:

In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation.

This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.

We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.

Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly.

Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative.

Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.

The two met on the set of the 2011 comedy Wanderlust and quickly became one of the most popular and beloved couples in the entertainment industry.

As we saw last year when Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced their separation, fans are often devastated to learn of a famous couple calling it a day.

Judging by the reaction on Twitter this morning, people are equally distraught at the news of Jennifer and Justin ending their relationship.

Some people think that Jennifer should get back together with her ex Brad Pitt, as they're both now single.

In all honesty, you really do have to wonder what Jennifer Aniston has got to do to catch a break.
