Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga go together better than cookies and milk.
Fresh off a Best Original Song Oscar nomination, the pair have performed “Shallow”, the runaway hit from A Star is Born, live together for the first time.
Cooper co-starred and directed the Best Picture-nominated film and was in attendance for the Saturday performance of Gaga’s Las Vegas residency. Mimicking a scene from the film, Gaga had to coax him out of his seat for their debut live duet.
She said:
So a really good friend of mine… I don’t know if you know him but his name is Bradley. He made that movie, umm, A Star Is Born.
So I’m gonna be a little chance-y… Yo Bradley, you wanna come up and do this one?
After the crowd screamed in encouragement, Cooper joined Gaga at her piano and launched into “Shallow” as Gaga sat by his knees, joining later for her own verses. Gaga and Cooper will next perform the song at the Academy Awards.
Naturally, given the popularity of the song and film, social media has been abuzz with reaction. It's fair to say that people have feelings.
