Leonardo DiCaprio has given Ivanka Trump a copy of his climate change documentary.
DiCaprio and the 35-year-old businesswoman had a recent private meeting where The Revenant actor presented her with a DVD of Before The Flood.
The actor has long been on a mission to highlight the damaging effects of climate change by speaking in front of the United Nations multiple times, working through his foundation which he launched in 1998, and he spoke about the subject in his Academy Award acceptance speech earlier this year.
DiCaprio co-produced and featured in Before The Flood – a 90-minute documentary on climate change directed by Fisher Stevens. It stars Barack Obama, Ban Ki-Moon, Elon Musk and Pope Francis.
Now, after building a successful relationship with President Obama on climate change, DiCaprio has targeted the daughter of the President-elect.
Donald Trump has previously called global warming a farce created by China.
Although he has since admitted “some connectivity” between climate change and human activity, his policies regarding the topic remain to be seen.
