Melania Trump’s comments on Christmas come back to haunt her after unveiling new White House decoration

It’s the Trump family’s final Christmas in the White House before they make way for the Bidens and then we’ll get to see how the new first lady, Jill Biden will decorate the most famous house in America.

Melania’s relationship with the tradition of decorating the White House every Christmas has been interesting to say the least. Previously, her photoshoots for the decorations haven’t exactly been in the spirit of the season and what about those bizarre red trees from a few years ago? Last year, she managed to make a video so disturbing that it was easily turned into a parody of a horror film.

Well, this year she seems to have gotten into the spirit of Christmas this year and stuck to fairly conventional decorations and thanked the volunteers who helped put up the new decorations thanking them for their 'time, enthusiasm & devotion to make sure the spirit of peace & joy fill the historic rooms & halls of the People’s House.'

However, much like her husband, previous comments made by Melania have come back to haunt her.

Earlier this year, her former White House aide Stephanie Winston Wolkoff leaked a secret recording to CNN of a conversation she had with Melania in 2018.

During the conversation, Melania is clearly irate at the criticism that she has been receiving for not speaking out against some of the president’s policies, such as controversially separating migrant families at the border.

Also, within that conversation, Melania expressed his disdain for the Christmas decoration tradition, literally saying “who gives a f**k about the Christmas stuff?” She is heard saying:

Where I am. I put - I'm working like a - my a** off - at Christmas stuff that you know, who gives a f*** about Christmas stuff and decoration? But I need to do it, right?

Ok, and then I do it. And I say that I'm working on Christmas planning for the Christmas. And they said, 'Oh, what about the children that they were separated?'

Give me a f***ing break. Where they were saying anything when Obama did that?

With this in mind, people were more than happy to remind Melania of her quote about Christmas 'tis the season and all.

Given all this, we’d bet that Melania is quietly happy that this will be her last Christmas in the White House and she’ll be free from any further criticism unless Donald decides to run again in 2024…
