We're so over 2016.
But let's not live in the past.
Here are some of the things to look forward to in 2017; including some awesome films, album releases, sporting events and comedy tours.
We all need some reasons to be cheerful.... So hit the music:
Films
La La Land comes out in the first month of the year, and if you need an electric shock of joy and happiness, this is your best bet.

In 2017, we're also going to be treated to:
- The Lego Batman movie
- Pitch Perfect 3
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
- Superhero film Justice League, released in November and starring Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman
- Wonder Woman - Finally, a super hero movie with a female lead!
- Spider-Man: Homecoming
- The trainspotting sequel, T2 Trainspotting, 20 years after the original.
Music
The XX
The band will be kicking off 2017 on the right foot with their album I See You.

Live shows
It's a year of classics next year, with UK tours from:
- Glam rock band KISS
- Take That, who will be touring their show Wonderland Live
- Black Sabbath, who will be touring their farewell tour, The End
Netflix
- A Series of Unfortunate Events is coming to Netflix in 2017, following the adventures of the three Baudelaire children.
- We'll also be treated to seasons two of Stranger Things and Master of None.

Comedy
Next year is a big year for comedians, with tours from:
- Jimmy Carr
- Jack Whitehall
- Russell Howard
- Milton Jones
- Russell Kane
- Jon Richardson
- Rob Bryon, who will be doing his first stand-up show since his sell-out tour in 2009

It’s a big year for sport, too, kicking off with African Cup of Nations. There’s also:
- The Special Olympics in Austria
- The World Track Championships in Hong Kong
- Wimbledon
- The women’s rugby world cup in Ireland
