Move over Boris Johnson; step aside Dominic Raab. The newest kid on the block has become a favourite to be prime minister. He has been named: Podium Guy.
Theresa May’s upcoming resignation on 7 June has thrust the country into chaos as Tory MPs scramble to find who will replace her – and suggestions have ranged from Raab and Johnson to Jeremy Hunt and Andrea Leandsom.
As the nation reels from her announcement, others have taken a light-hearted approach to the heavy news.
Just before May delivered her speech, the podium was set up outside of Number 10, Downing Street by a technician dressed in black.
Whilst testing out the sound on the mic, he stood in front of the podium, looking for just one moment as though he were delivering an important speech.
The internet called him Podium Man, and they want him to run for PM.
