Donald Trump says he can fix the Boeing 737 MAX following two fatal crashes.

Instead of the political and social fractures cracking along America, the US president has decided to focus on casting his attention on planes.

In a tweet posted to his millions of followers, Trump said: “What do I know about branding, maybe nothing (but I did become President!), but if I were Boeing, I would FIX the Boeing 737 MAX, add some additional great features, & REBRAND the plane with a new name”.

No product has suffered like this one. But then again, what the hell do I know?

The US president is widely understood not to be an aviation expert of any kind, nor does he hold degrees in a subject that would suggest he knows how to fix a plane.

Cue a collective sigh from people online.

People tore apart his logic, and it didn't look good.

Others pointed out that he may not be best person to offer such advice - for, well, obvious reasons...

They pointed out the times he filed for bankruptcy, and failed business ventures...

And they were pretty brutal with their jokes.
