Weather forecasts and big dogs don't mix - who knew?

It's almost as if local news stations are trying to go what the kids call viral these days.

Someone on the floor at Global News in Edmonton, Canada, thought it would be a good idea to pair Ripple, an 18-month-old mastiff from a local animal welfare charity, with a weatherman doing a live broadcast.

As Mike Sobel notes early on in the forecast, "Ripple wants to play".

Such is the extent to which Ripple wants to play that Sobel could have been reporting on pink tornadoes raining frogs across western Canada and no one would have noticed.
