Trump and Melania attend Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington

A video of what appeared to be a tense conversation between US president Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump has gone viral online.
On Sunday (23 August), rounding off a series of summer events to celebrate the 250th birthday since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, the Freedom 250 IndyCar Grand Prix race was brought to the streets of Washington, DC.
Attending the event alongside Trump was his wife, Melania, his son and his close personal aide, Natalie Harp, among others.
Remarkable footage shared online appears to show the presidential couple embroiled in a tense conversation while seated to watch the race. In the clip, Melania can be seen talking into her husband’s ear. When Trump pulled away, her facial expression and body language appeared fairly hostile.
And it would seem many others agree.
“This conversation between President Trump and Melania Trump actually seemed to start out somewhat positive a few minutes before this clip starts but as you can see, it didn’t end that way,” the original poster of the clip claimed.
Someone suggested: “Melania’s face went from diplomatic protocol to ‘this meeting has exceeded my patience’ in about three seconds.”
One person mocked: “If these two lovebirds can't make it, what hope is there for the rest of us?”
Someone else wrote: “This soap opera today featuring Trump and Melania, Trump and Natalie, and Natalie and everyone else, has been comedic, entertaining, and for Trump - another reality show, this one more humiliating.
“I only moments ago realized there was a car race involved - who knew?”
Someone else suggested: “That arm cross is epic p**sed off wife shit right there.”
