If you didn't put it on Facebook and accrue over 50 likes, did it actually even happen?

This Mother's Day, that's the question Facebook wanted you to ask.

In 2016, the topic drove more posts than any other, with over 105 million Mother's Day posts.

These are great numbers to push to advertisers, so Facebook wants you to post about it more.

So if you did thank your Mother on Sunday, you preferably did it online as well as in person. Or just online.

To accommodate this, Facebook engineers built a button reaction.

It's a purple flower and it does a lovely little animation.

So there you have it, the button is for Mother's Day.

There's also a whole host of stickers that you can use to jazz up your photos of Mother's Day and really bring out the corporate media giant in them.
