Ladies and gentlemen, the most speculative crowdfunding attempt ever

A "budding journalist" has put out a plea on Kickstarter for help in funding her goal - attending spa days for free.

"So I love to visit Spa's [sic]," writes Sophie, from Hemel Hempstead.

"I can't imagine a better job than attending and reviewing every spa in the UK. You can make this dream happen!"

Obviously quality journalism is its own reward - as Sophie says, the industry is clearly lacking honest spa reviews from a 20-something (there are lots of disingenuous reviews out there) - but if you needed any extra incentive, a £10 pledge will get you a postcard and £50 a T-shirt with Sophie's cat on it.

Against all expectations, two weeks into a month-long funding period there's still some way to go.
