As you can probably tell from the video, they're close in that 'Oh-my-God-I'm-going-to-kill-you' way reserved for parents and siblings.
And to be fair, after taking a look at the wind ups Liz pulls on her mum via text, we can see why:
Sometimes she messes with the autocorrect settings on her mum's mobile.
It's not just limited to phones, though. Oh no. She also plays pranks with furniture.
And sometimes just straight up takes stuff.
Liz uploaded screenshots of her exchanges with her mum to Reddit recently and they've gone weapons grade viral after being shared to Facebook 80,000 times.
But before you start feeling too sorry for Liz's mum, though, it appears she's picking up a few tricks of her own:
