David Attenborough narrated the re-emergence of Adele from hibernation

Sir David Attenborough has narrated Adele’s return to the spotlight in the style of his famed nature documentaries.

On Monday, Radio 1 DJ Greg James invited Attenborough to narrate over Adele’s new video, ‘Hello’, with his trademark style.

Sir David replied:

Really? Won’t Ah-dell be cross with me?

Assured that everyone in the world would want to see and hear this, he began:

The year is 2015. The world appears to have a green tint to it, there are also some dead insects in the foreground, but don’t worry about that for now.

Adele’s behaviour is analysed in the video by Attenborough, who describes her interaction with her surroundings as if she is a creature emerging from hibernation, ranging from her modest Mini to the use of a flip phone:

The signal is poor, and she hasn’t upgraded her handset since 1999. Hashtag flip phone.

The man to whom President Barack Obama said "I have been a huge admirer of your work for a very long time", says 'hashtag flip phone'. Yes, really.

Finally, we hear the proclamation from Sir David, that Adele has re-emerged:

The lesser-spotted Adele is about to be everywhere, again. Hello!

We don't want to spoil any more of it for you - to see the effect in all its glory (and get your fix of Attenborough's soothing tones) you really should watch it for yourself.
