Someone tried Alan Partridge. Someone tried Drake. It was only a matter of time before texting your significant others and old flames Adele lyrics was in vogue.
Twitter user Mary Caldarella is clearly excited by the prospect of a new Adele album next month - so excited she tried out lyrics new and old in a text message conversation with (who else) her ex-boyfriend.
The conversation went as follows:
Hello from the other side
Hey you
I must've called a thousand times
What?? I think you have the wrong Matt
I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet
What do you mean?
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart but it don't matter it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore
I'm the one who should be sorry. And you always say that. You're the one who is perfectly fine now. You really miss me still?
I was wondering after all these years you'd like to meet to go over everything
I feel like you'll really regret saying this when you're sober
It's no secret that the both of us are running out of time
Running out of time??
It's so typical of me to talk about myself, I'm sorry. I hope that you are well
Babe what are you talking about? You miss me??
At least I can say that I've tried
Last time I asked you if we could go on a date when I came to Auburn you told me to go f--k myself
Mary and Matt must be on OK terms because they're still in touch.
But we're not sure if they will be now this conversation has been read by half the internet.
