It’s been an unbearably long wait, but Lil Nas X is finally making his comeback.

The ‘Old Town Road’ singer shared a trailer for the music video to his new Christmas-themed single, ‘Holiday’.

The teaser sees Lil Nas X return to the old wild west as a time traveller and transform into Santa Claus. As the rapper takes off on a hi-tech sleigh, the camera cuts to Michael J. Fox, who tells Lil Nas X, “don’t go to 2020.”

Fox rose to fame as the time-traveling Marty McFly in Robert Zemeckis’ beloved Back to the Future trilogy. In Back to the Future Part III, Marty finds himself stuck in the wild west of 1885, so 'Holiday' may well just be canonically accurate.

It must truly be a sign that the year is turning around for the better now that Fox is reprising the role.

Fans are understandably excited to see Marty McFly has been brought back to life again.

Even Christopher Lloyd, who famously played the eccentric Doc Brown in the franchise was in on the joke.

The Lil Nas X cinematic universe continues to grow stronger. Safe to say, we can't wait for what the full video has in store for Back to the Future devotees.
