Man appears to steal ball from small child at baseball game

You'd think that only dogs have the required love of balls - and lack of self-control - to readily and happily nick one off a kid.

At least they look adorable doing it.

The same can't be said for this grown, adult man.

Chicago Cubs first base coach Will Venable threw a foul ball to a young boy in the crowd, who scrambled for it before it ended up on the floor.

Rather than hand it back, a fan in the row behind snatched it up triumphantly.

Thankfully, the team looked after the boy, giving him two baseballs with one of them signed by all-star second baseman Javy Baez.

'Sports Talk Live' host David Kaplan later tweeted that the man had helped the boy get a ball earlier.
