Cassetteboy’s latest project trolling Boris Johnson has gone viral.
The video, to the tune of Ian Dury and the Blockheads’ ‘Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick’, eviscerates the prime minister for his coronavirus plan – or lack thereof.
The two-minute clip, made for technology charity Privacy International, also sees Cassetteboy mock Johnson for the exam results fiasco of the summer.
In August, Johnson blamed a “mutant algorithm” for the chaos surrounding A-Level and GCSE results. In the chorus of this new video, the original lyrics – “hit me with your rhythm stick” – are replaced with “a mutant algorithm trick”.
Some of the most memorable lyrics read:
We’ll use our algorithm trick. Solve the problems with one click.
A mutant algorithm trick. When it goes wrong, the blame won’t stick.
This isn’t the first time that Cassetteboy has slammed the government with a funny video.
In 2019, Cassetteboy took on Johnson’s leadership bid.
Later that year, a video mash-up heavily critiqued the prime minister by splicing together moments from various speeches.
People online absolutely loved it
Whatever you think about Boris Johnson's leadership, there's no denying that this is really catchy. We can't stop singing it.
