If you're a supporter of any political party other than the Tories or the SNP, you might be feeling a little down in the doldrums this morning.
But don't fret too much; there are plenty of reasons to be cheerful after yesterday's vote.
First and foremost, this man lost.
Or more importantly, this woman won.
This man is also back in Parliament.
Here he is with his advisers (joke).
It's worth remembering that he is likely to be prime minister in three years.
This man is still our prime minister. But he'll never be our president, if you know what I mean.
Four more years!
It's nice to know that this man is human after all.
One man decided to throw the interactive map out of the window, and instead cross-stitched the results as they came in. The word hero is overused, but...
Moreover, the fact that the Tories seem to be on the brink of an overall majority, while not everyone's ideal result, means we are extremely unlikely to have another election this year. So we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief.
This man may have lost the election, but he still won our hearts. And for some people that will never change.
