Humans of New York posted a photo reading 'I am an illegal immigrant' and the response was wonderful

Humans of New York's Brandon Stanton posted a picture of a woman in a graduation outfit under the caption "I am an illegal immigrant" on Wednesday.

The wildly-popular blogger, who charts the lives of the city's eight million people, posted the images on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.

Perhaps surprisingly, the responses were overwhelmingly wonderful.

Many praised her achievements

Others pointed out the flaws in anti-immigration arguments

Many pointed out that modern day America was built on immigration anyway

While this woman was just amazed at how nice the internet had been for once

Bravo.
