Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby listened and learned as Lee Brooke retold his story of a bear attack - but some This Morning viewers were less sympathetic.

The 61-year-old had his face mauled by a 30-stone female grizzly bear in October 2016. She and her cubs had been attracted by an elk Brooke had shot in the mountains of Wyoming.

Brooke only escaped with his life after repeatedly stabbing the creature in the head.

Even after extensive procedures and several months in hospital, Brooke is far from full recovery. Doctors still plan to rebuild his nose, which is remarkably regrowing on his arm.

However, some viewers felt more for the bear and the elk, with some even suggesting that having your face mauled is fair punishment for hunting.
