This mother's selfie is going viral for all the right reasons

Meet Kimberly Henderson.

The South Carolina-based musician and mother-of-four has gone viral after posting a selfie of her 'mom' bod on Facebook.

Under the photo she explained she posted the image in response to people who used to compliment her on her "perfect body", adding that she has struggled with her appearance.

"I decided to upload this pic and leave my belly 'unedited' 'unphotoshopped' because I used to struggle with accepting my body after kids," she wrote. "I used to have a six pack before my babies.. And now even though I work out I know its not going to make my loose skin tight.. Or my stretch marks disappear ever lol and I'm ok with that because everyday I get to wake up to 4 beautiful smiling faces and I'm reminded that they are worth this flabby belly and they are worth these stretch marks. I still wear a bikini because being a mother makes me feel beautiful.. Not having a flat tummy."

Her body positive stance is similar to plus-sized fashion blogger Jessica Kane, who went viral two months ago after posting a picture of her in a swimsuit on Facebook.

"THIS WAS NOT BRAVE," she wrote under the picture. "I've been told how brave I am for not having a coverup, but going with out a wrap would only take bravery if I cared what others thought of me."

Ladies: we salute you.
