This really old doppelganger of Matthew McConaughey is freaking everyone out

Be prepared. This is about to get a bit weird.

According to a number of sources Mathew McConaughey is a God who, for the sake of self-preservation and to prevent people from catching on to his immortality, changes his identity.

Sanders Parker from Tennessee uploaded the photo of his great-great grandfather onto imgur after his sister pointed out the freakishly close resemblance to the Hollywood star.

The 30-year-old told ABC News:

It's been a lot of fun. My sister deserves most of the credit. My uncle posted it originally [on Facebook] and my sister pointed out the resemblance. I'm just the one who took it and ran with it.

But, surely Photoshop?

I know it's hard to believe in the Photoshop age that this isn't altered, but it really is straight up original. My family isn't savvy enough to attempt that.

Right, so we're supposed to believe Mathew McConaughey happens to have a completely random doppelgänger from two hundred years ago who happens to bare no relation to him?
