TikToker compared to Sesame Street’s Bert after eyebrow lamination blunder

Trying something different with your eyebrows can be a daunting experience. After all, there’s no hiding them. Although we can usually trust the professionals to give us the look we desire, what happens when it all goes wrong?

TikToker Sarah Donnelly shared a hilarious video showing her reaction to having her eyebrows laminated for the first time.

Her new look led to her audience comparing her to Bert from Sesame Street, Jim’s dad from American Pie, musician Liam Gallagher, and Groucho Marx of the Marx brothers.

In the clip, she’s heard laughing hysterically as she said: “I’ve just had my eyebrows laminated, I can’t stop laughing at them. I look ridiculous.”

“Are you ready?” she asked before moving the camera up to reveal her new brows.

“Oh my God,” she said as she looked at herself in the front-facing camera before covering her mouth. “What have I done to my eyebrows?”

“I don’t know whether I want to laugh or cry.”

She captioned the video: “I was trying to keep up with the kids, so I got my brows laminated and this happened.”

The Manchester-based TikToker’s video has been watched almost 400,000 times since it was uploaded two days ago, and has received over 20,000 likes and almost 1,000 comments.

The top comment asked: “Are you Jim’s dad from American Pie?” Sarah replied to say: “Hilarious! I actually really look like him don’t I?” along with laughing emojis.

Replying to another comment, Sarah said the eyebrows are “[her] slugs”. Replying, another viewer suggested she should name them.

“It’s the laughing but wanting to cry for me,” one commenter wrote. Sarah replied: “Honestly I just didn’t know what to do! Complete panic mode.”

Another viewer poked fun at the way we usually tell white lies to beauticians, writing: “Tech: ‘do you like them?’ You: ‘I love them’” followed by sad face emojis.

“The actual lamination is really nice but why on EARTH would they put black tint on a blonde-haired woman?” one TikTok user asked.

One commenter wrote: “Those caterpillars are gonna be some nice butterflies.”

Others assured her that lamination is the ultimate “trust the process” and said once they settle, they are sure she will love them.

Brow lamination, a viral beauty trend in which your eyebrows are permed, has gained popularity in the last couple of years.

At least Sarah’s eyebrows match, which is more than can be said about this TikToker’s unfortunate makeup look.
