For Meghan Markle, 2018 will probably be the most significant year in her entire life.

The American actress will marry Prince Harry on 19 Ma, which is likely to make her one of the most recognisable women on the planet.

But just because she is preparing to enter one of the most high-profile families on the face of the Earth doesn't mean that she can't make a few New Year's resolutions.

According to The Telegraph, a post on her now closed blog The Tigstated that she makes the same resolutions every single year.

On a post made on January 1, 2016, Meghan vowed to cut out swearing for her vocabulary and stop biting her nails.

She reportedly wrote:

Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. Re-learn French.

These make my New Year's resolution list nearly (AKA actually every) single year.

The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks.

And when it comes to the biting of the nails - well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day.

It's unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit.

My nails will be fine, and if I toss out a four letter word once in a blue moon, well frankly I think it adds character.

She also vowed to run a marathon and leave enough room in her life for "magic."

She added:

My New Year's resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but to be open to change.

To let the magic know that there is an open door policy with me in 2016 and that it is always welcome to join the party.

I invite you to do the same. Have a beautiful, blissful, and incredibly magical 2016. So grateful to be with you on the ride.

2016 turned out to be quite the year for Meghan as she met Harry in July of that year thanks to a blind date set up by a mutual friend.

Unfortunately for Meghan, the newfound attention that she inherited by dating Harry meant that she couldn't continue The Tig and closed it down in April 2017.

Therefore we are unlikely to learn whether these are her resolutions for 2018 again but we'd like to imagine that she is a woman of her word and is still trying to censor her swearing.
