Dalyntara Tara Dalyntara is a 23-year-old international student from Thailand, studying a master's at Reading University.

Last weekend, she decided to make the trip down to Brighton beach with two of her friends, to enjoy the sunshine.

She picked up an ice cream, and tried to take the must-have shot of the English seaside.

A few moments later, however, she was granted a far funnier photograph...

She shared the images to Facebook, where they have been liked over 35,000 times.

Dalyntara told the Telegraph:

I was shocked and stunned for a while, then I realised that my beloved ice cream was taken by a big seagull.

I was a bit upset and angry because it happened in just three seconds! It was so fast, and yes not only one seagull, but two.

Tara's incident does not stand alone in the UK - the BBC recently reported that 19 incidents of 'gull-mugging' had occured in North Yorkshire seaside towns over the past six months.

Twenty-two people were physically attacked, or robbed of their food by the birds, as described in a report due to appear before councillors.
