Westminster attack: Police issue warning to anyone sharing pictures

A police officer has been stabbed following a “terror incident” outside the House of Parliameent.

One man has reportedly been shot by armed police.

Several people were injured after a car ploughed into a crowd.

Social media has been exceedingly active, as people have taken to sharing photographs and videos of the victims.

The Metropolitan Police have tweeted a warning about sharing photographs and videos of the incident.

Please use common sense and restraint in circulating pictures and videos of those that have been injured during the incident.

News outlets and citizens alike are being urged to take caution when sharing photographs of injured people, as well as of law enforcement, especially given that the incident has not yet been officially resolved.
