On Monday, White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci was unceremoniously dumped from the administration only ten days into his role.

Donald Trump hired Scaramucci on 21 July, which later provoked the resignation of Reince Priebus on 28 July. Scaramucci's official start date was meant to be 15 August, which at the time of writing is in two weeks time.

At the time of Scaramucci's hiring, Trump said:

Anthony is a person I have great respect for, and he will be an important addition to this administration.

He has been a great supporter and will now help implement key aspects of our agenda while leading the communications team.

We have accomplished so much, and we are being given credit for so little.

The good news is the people get it, even if the media doesn’t.

Ok.

The whirlwind unravelling of his tenure was thoroughly entertaining as it was farcical and speedy. (Warning: there's a Reservoir Dogs spoiler below)

Or, interpreted alternatively:

In fact, the most significant thing Scaramucci appears to have influenced is search traffic for Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics.

Warren Bass, a senior editor of the Wall Street Journal's review section, tweeted this staggering statistic that sums up the chaos inside the White House:

Trump denied any reports of chaos in the White House hours prior to Scaramucci's exit.

A poll conducted last Thursday to Saturday by Politico and Morning Consult suggests that voters think otherwise.

Remember when Donald Trump said he'd run the White House like a company?

He told the Washington Post in March:

All Americans, regardless of their political views, can recognise that government stagnation has hindered our ability to properly function, often creating widespread congestion and leading to cost overruns and delays.

Presumably he sees too much congestion in the offices of his senior staff.
