Here's how much famous figures charge for speeches

Bill Clinton, the former US President, and his wife Hillary, a presidential frontrunner in the 2016 race, have reportedly raked in $125m (£80m) in fees for speeches since leaving office in 2001.

As much as $25m of that was earned in the past 16 months alone. How lucrative is the after-dinner speaking circuit?

Tony Blair, the former prime minister, reportedly demands around £250,000. In 2009, Blair was said to have earned £6,000 a minute for two half-hour speeches in the Philippines.

Hillary Clinton recently charged a "discount" $300,000 (£191,233) for a university appearance. Aides are said to request lemon wedges and water on stage and a computer, scanner, and a spread of hummus and crudité backstage. Her helpers also reportedly ask that chairs be fitted with two long, rectangular pillows — and that two cushions be kept backstage in case she needs additional back support.

Cyclist Lance Armstrong has reportedly commanded fees of up to $100,000 (£63,759) to speak in the past. It is unclear how admitting to doping will affect his appearance fees.
