Jon Stewart on who is really to blame for Donald Trump

Jon Stewart actually giggled with joy during Monday's episode of The Daily Show because he's having so much fun with Donald Trump's presidential run.

The comedian called the business mogul "the patron saint of topical comedians just running out the clock" (Stewart is leaving the Daily Show next month after 16 years in the hot seat).

After taking pot shots at the business mogul's hair Stewart focused on the fact that Trump's latest target is Republican senator and 2008 presidential candidate John McCain, whom he said was "not a war hero" for spending five years in a POW camp during the Vietnam War. The remark has somewhat dented Trump's previously weirdly high polling ratings.

Jon told him not to be discouraged:

Don't flame out now, I got to squeeze three more weeks out of this s--t!

Although his comments on Mexican immigrants weren't enough to turn the tide of Republican favour, now things are changing Stewart has a handy reminder for GOP supporters:

The only reason you liked this guy in the first place is because of the terrible things he was willing to say about Obama. But Trump has no control over the projectile vomit of dickishness that comes out of his mouth and it was inevitable that some of his word puke was going to get on you... and you should have known that. You've been down this road before.

Once you cast a spell, and bring an internet comment to life, it no longer belongs to you. Only this time the chatroom troll emoji you've conjured has $10 billion of its own money.
