Man becomes viral hit after going extra mile to make best friend’s proposal perfect

A man’s attempt to make his best friend’s proposal extra special has gone viral.

Charbel Abillama had planned on proposing to his girlfriend Kristina outside the Château Laurier hotel in Ottawa, Canada, but he had to think fast when he was told of a security ban on proposals at the premises.

Thankfully, his friend Wael had a quick solution in mind to create the perfect atmosphere and gave himself an important role in the new plan - official petal thrower.

The proposal, which was filmed by passers-by, has now been viewed more than 14 million times.

As you can see the man is tirelessly committed to his job - creating an even spread of petals and keeping up the good work even when he's spotted by Kristina.

Charbel explained how the last-minute plan came together.

He told Buzzfeed:

The idea of having Wael throw the petals was legit all him, I wish I can describe the type of character he is.

He totally freestyled it and told me five mins before the proposal 'I'm going to hide in this corner and throw petals all over her,’

He's also the type of guy that while she's coming down the stairs yelled to me 'What if she says no?' Perfect confidence boost.

Fortunately, Kristina said yes and Wael’s work didn’t go to waste.

And it turns out a lot of people identify with his petal throwing.

Now, Wael is hoping to turn his romantic talent into a part-time business as he’s made a specialist account on Twitter and Instagram, promising to fulfil customers' “petal throwing needs”.
