According to the latest statistics from mental health charity Mind, one in four people in the population will suffer from a mental health issue each year, which means that there's no doubt someone you know will be struggling.
Now, 29-year-old artist Kate Alan, who suffers from depression and anxiety, is sharing the lessons she has learnt in therapy onto her Instagram account thelatestkate, in order to help others who might be struggling, in the form of some incredible illustrations, cartoons, comics and drawings.
Many of the illustrations tackle anxiety.
While others simply include excellent, life-affirming messages of support.
And others tackle depression.
As well as difficult, triggering occasions, like Christmas.
And no matter how bad you feel right now, these feelings are impermanent.
She even designed a comic book, to help share mindfulness techniques she learned in therapy.
Speaking to Bored Panda about the comic, she said:
I have been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Depression,
The comic half comes from exercises I learned in therapy and half from personal experience.
Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy have both been helpful in managing my mental health.

Eating well, exercising, creating, and working to have solid relationships have helped, too
