Trump supporters fight with homeless man outside White House ahead of Fourth of July parade

On the eve of Donald Trump's Fourth of July celebrations in Washington DC, a group of his supporters have been filmed clashing with a homeless man outside of the White House.

On Wednesday, dozens of Trump supporters, mostly white men, came together for a rally to celebrate the president, ahead of his military-themed Independence Day event on the National Mall.

When they arrived, they met with Bruce, 60, a homeless man who is a vocal critic of the president and who spends most of his time near the White House, reports the Huffington Post.

In a video filmed by Huffington Post reporter Jen Bendery, and posted to YouTube on 3 July, homeless man Bruce can be heard shouting:

God Damn the Trump supporters! 

Trump incited violence at his rallies...

In response, one of Trump's supporters said:

Take your medication, dude, take your medication!

He then continued:

Against we the people!

One Trump supporter then got abusive:

You're a piece of s***!

A third Trump supporter wearing a 'Blacks make racial slurs & commit hate crimes too!!' T-shirt then responded:

You’re just a loud-mouthed whore!

According to the Huffington Post, the altercation continued for approximately ten minutes, with another Trump supporter getting up close into Bruce’s face and shoving him backwards with his shoulders.

Speaking to the Huffington Post after the altercation, Bruce, 60, said:

I feel like I’m amidst jackals who don’t speak English.

I’ve never met Trump supporters who do not run away from facts. We need to save our country, but this is not the path to go. This is the path to extinction.

Thousands of Trump supporters are expected to gather on Thursday at the nation's capital to celebrate the Declaration of Independence with its annual fireworks display, which will this year feature a flyover of military jets and Air Force One, as well as a speech from the president, reports USA Today.

Protestors are also expected at the event, and Trump has faced criticism for the cost of the event, which is also expected to feature the Trump 'baby blimp', as well as a 16-foot-tall "Dumping Trump" robot featuring the president sitting on a golden toilet, wearing a MAGA-style hat, and saying 'Make America Great Again: Impeach Me'.
