Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a sweetheart, and he’s one of America’s most sought after actors, and after the compassionate way he spoke about humanity, people are hoping he can add “president” to his list of accomplishments.

Johnson appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he was promoting the latest instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise: Hobbs and Shaw.

Fallon asked the actor about his protesting in Hawaii over the construction of a huge telescope on Mauna Kea Mountain, a place locals consider to be sacred.

The Rock had danced and chanted with many other Samoans and Hawai’ians in a ceremony on the mountain.

He said: “"There was some trust that was breached between [native Hawai’ians] and the state and the people that are trying to build the telescope.”

"This mountain is their church, and it would be like building on their church ... This is so much bigger than a telescope being built. This is humanity — these are human beings whose hearts are hurting.

... When you have humans beings who are hurting — any culture around the world — that's our indication that we've gotta stop — let's be considerate, let's be empathetic, and let's always take care of the people.

At the end of the day, it always comes down to that: taking care of the people.
