Easter bank holiday weekend is one of the first real markers of the season shifting – longer lunches, spontaneous plans and a renewed appetite for getting out and about.
Across the UK, restaurants and hotels are leaning into the moment with special menus, playful desserts and family-friendly experiences, making it a good time to book something a little more considered than your usual weekend plans.
San Carlo (Various Locations)
From Friday 3rd to Monday 6th April, San Carlo celebrates Easter with its Golden Easter Egg – a handcrafted dessert served with a golden envelope, giving diners the chance to win a £50 restaurant voucher.
The spring menu highlights Italian flavours, including seared lamb rump with pea and mint cream, alongside seasonal drinks such as the indulgent Chocolate Velvet Espressotini, made with Grey Goose vodka, Frangelico, Baileys, espresso, Nutella and hazelnut.
San Carlo’s Selfridges locations in London, Birmingham and Manchester will also offer special set menus of two dishes, paired with a limited edition Easter Eggspresso Martini.

TOZI Restaurant & Bar (Pimlico, London)
Named after the Venetian word for a close-knit circle of friends, TOZI is all about relaxed, sociable dining. Think rustic cicchetti, hearty pasta and dishes meant to be shared, perfect for lingering over a long weekend.
Families are well catered for: little ones can enjoy a complimentary Spaghetti Bolognese or Pomodoro, finished with a scoop of gelato, while parents take their time sampling the restaurant’s signature Italian flavours. The vibe is stylish yet approachable, making it a good spot for a casual Easter outing.

Mr Ma’s Afternoon Tea at The Academy (Bloomsbury, London)
Indulge in Mr Ma’s Afternoon Tea at The Academy Hotel in Bloomsbury, where English High Tea meets an Asian twist inspired by Lao She’s Mr Ma and Son.
The menu features Chinese egg tarts, sesame Jian Dui dough balls, macaroons, and classic scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve, paired with Asian and English teas.
Guests can also enjoy a glass of Bloomsbury Sparkling Wine or Champagne.

The Cinnamon Collection (Covent Garden, Richmond, Battersea Power Station & City, London)
Across four of Vivek Singh’s modern Indian restaurants, children aged 12 and under eat free with every adult meal, making it a treat for families over the bank holiday weekend.
The restaurants offer vibrant spaces and flavours, from smoky grills and fragrant curries to tangy chaats and colourful biryanis, with something for every palate. It’s a fuss-free way to enjoy a family meal together while introducing little ones to modern Indian cuisine.

Sexy Fish (Manchester and London)
Over Good Friday and Saturday 4th April, Sexy Fish Manchester serves a Limitless Lunch featuring three signature dishes and free-flowing drinks.
On Easter Sunday (5th April), brunch is filled with unlimited starters, a main course and sharing desserts, while limitless cocktails and bubbles can be added from £35.
At the London location, a Sexy Set Menu is also available alongside the signature Easter Egg dessert served from Saturday through to Easter Monday, while Easter Sunday brunch brings additions such as fresh oysters, ikura and cod croquettes.

Sticks’n’Sushi (Battersea, London)
This Easter, Sticks’n’Sushi Battersea is inviting little chefs to a hands-on masterclass in sushi-making. Guided by expert chefs, children will learn to roll classics like Kappa hosomaki (cucumber) and Pink Alaska uramaki (salmon, avocado, cream cheese and lumpfish roe), before crafting a playful Easter Bunny roll of their own.
Each participant leaves with a goody bag including a certificate, bandana, rolling mat, chopsticks, a chocolate fish, and a Japanese numbers and phrases sheet, plus soft drinks to keep energy levels up.

The Ivy (Various Locations)
The Ivy’s Easter plans revolve around its Breakfast with the Ivy Bunny, returning across the bank holiday weekend.
The experience is geared towards families looking for something a little more structured than a standard meal out, but still relaxed enough to enjoy at your own pace. Later in the day, a limited-edition carrot cake dessert adds a seasonal nod to the menu

Kimpton Clocktower (Manchester)
Kimpton Clocktower is hosting a limited-edition Easter afternoon tea from 2nd–4th April in the Winter Garden, featuring savoury courses, nostalgic bakes and chocolate-led desserts, served with a Chocolate Forest Martini.
Across Good Friday and Easter Sunday, the hotel will also run Easter bonnet workshops, while a drop-in planting station is available throughout the break for children staying at the hotel.

The Lowry Hotel
On 7th April from 12pm, The Lowry Hotel will host its Easter chocolate masterclass for children aged 6–12, led by chocolatier Oli The Choc.
Held in The River Restaurant, participants will be guided through the process of tempering, filling and decorating their own Easter eggs. The £25 session includes all materials, a drink and a snack, with each child taking home their creation.

BLVD (Spinningfields, Manchester)
Launching on Easter Sunday and continuing weekly thereafter, BLVD’s Caribbean roast features honey jerk-marinated chicken, pork and lamb chops served with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, carrots and gravy.
The menu also includes starters such as curry goat spring rolls, jerk-coated wings and pork belly bites, alongside traditional and plant-based roast options, offering something for groups and families alike.
