Here's disgusting a note you never want to find in your hotel room

A hotel guest has claimed to discover probably the most disgusting note you can find in a booked room.

Scribbled on the hotel’s notepad paper were the words:

If you’re reading this, then house-keeping did not change your sheets!

Ew.

A picture of the note was posted to Reddit last week with the caption:

Heard something crinkle when I settled in for the night.

The location of the hotel is unknown, but the account that the note was posted from appears to be based in the US.

While the fact that the note had not been discovered by housekeeping staff was condemned, the concept of the note was praised as a novel way of holding hotel staff to account.

One person wrote that they would be writing notes of this kind whenever they checked out in future, while another said that this may not be enough to deter hotels, who may simply remove the note.

This is why I usually strip the bed prior to leaving. Sure, they can put the dirty sheets back on, but it’s just as much work as changing them at that point.

Good tip, we’re going to be doing that in future.

The hotel chain has been contacted by indy100 for comment.
