An Israeli newspaper actually published this blog

The Times of Israel withdrew a blog post by Yochanan Gordon on Friday afternoon.

The post, about the current Israeli offensive in Gaza, was titled "When Genocide is permissible". It argued: "We are at war with an enemy whose charter calls for the annihilation of our people. Nothing, then, can be considered disproportionate when we are fighting for our very right to live."

We made a Venn diagram for Gordon, who describes himself as the son of the founder of American Paper the Five Towns Jewish Times.

The Times of Israel said they had an open blogging platform and they were "angry and appalled" that it had been abused by Gordon. They have now discontinued Gordon's blog, saying: "We will not countenance blog posts that incite to violence or criminal acts."

More than 1,400 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed in Gaza since the Israeli military began Operation Protective Edge on 8 July. Israeli human rights group B’Tselem estimates that more than a quarter of those are under 18.
