Bill Clinton 'checks out' Ariana Grande at Aretha Franklin's funeral – and Twitter goes into meltdown

Aretha Franklin’s funeral should be remembered for bringing America together, a time when fans would mourn the singer’s death. And celebrate her life.

Music fans of all backgrounds and ages came together for the big farewell, which included a heart-tugging live tribute by Ariana Grande.

But for some, her performance was notable for its effect on former president Bill Clinton.

Twitter users claimed Mr Clinton couldn’t take his eyes off the 25-year-old as she sang just feet away from him. Certainly he gazed open-mouthed.

The Daily Caller tweeted:

Another user said:

“Bill Clinton is a REALLY big fan of Ariana Grande.”

Edward J Rzeppa dubbed him “lecherous” and others accused him of “salivating”.

One user did point out, however:

She is beautiful.
