A baby was caught sleeping on her head, horror-movie style, and people are terrified

Mikaela Long was just your average social media personality, with 20,000 followers on Twitter and about a million hilarious Vines.

But the California girl's social media activity took a turn for the paranormal this week when this terrifying thing happened...

The child was fast asleep. Standing on her head. With her legs over the cot bars.

Stranger things have happened, but the internet went into meltdown.

The post has been retweeted over 50,000 times, with more than 100,000 likes.

It even prompted this hilarious meme response from Mikaela.

But the child's mother told BuzzFeed that this isn't out of the ordinary for the toddler.

"She's been quite acrobatic lately."

"I think it’s just her settling down and getting comfortable,” she said.

It seems like the baby will be the only one without nightmares tonight.
