Could one of these nine Twitter words make it into the dictionary?

A new word is to be added to the Collins English Dictionary based on the votes of Twitter users.

Visitors to twictionary.collinsdictionary.com have until May 28 to choose from the below shortlist and tweet a favourite.

• Adorkable – dorky in an adorable way

• Fatberg – a mass of waste clogging a sewer

• Felfie – a farmer selfie

• Duckface – pouting facial expression in selfies

• Nomakeupselfie – a selfie without make-up

• Gaybourhood – a gay-friendly neighbourhood

• Vaguebooking – deliberately vague social media status updates

• Fracktivist – anti-fracking activist

• Euromaidan – pro-Europe protests in Ukraine, named for Maidan Square
