Last week, a theory started to go around the internet suggesting that Donald Trump can barely read.

YouTube channel The David Pakman Show made a surprisingly engaging case that Trump could hypothetically fail basic literacy tests - bringing together examples of where he appears to struggle to read documents, making excuses to avoid reading and the poor spelling of his tweets.

And now even more circumstantial evidence has emerged.

The New York Times has published a story entitled ‘Turmoil at the National Security Council, From the Top Down’, detailing the alleged on-going state of disarray at the NSC.

It makes fascinating - if worrying - reading.

However, hidden away in the piece is one very interesting nugget. The article talks about the differences between the policy option papers the NSC would produce for Barack Obama and Donald Trump.

Obama preferred documents that were three to six single-spaced pages.

But since Trump has taken over, The New York Times says:

Council staff members are now being told to keep papers to a single page, with lots of graphics and maps.

One official is quoted as saying:

The President likes maps.

Everyone loves maps, right?

Of course, this is still just a wild conspiracy theory, but none of it helps you think that Trump is a particularly voracious reader.
