We've all forgotten where we parked the car.
It happens to the best of us.
It's a little harder to do, however, when you're the President of the United States and you're disembarking Air Force One into an armoured limousine, decorated with your seal and the flag of the country you lead.
People tweeted about the incident a little despondently, as it appeared to onlookers that the President had simply not considered the car directly in front of him.
I swear to God Trump is sundowning. Here he is, confused, wandering away from his limo. He had to be redirected.… https://t.co/2Kl4USCvh9— Holly Figueroa O'Reilly (@Holly Figueroa O'Reilly) 1499205197

People have also pointed out its not the first time that the President didn't appear to know what he was supposed to be doing:

It has been speculated that he expected to be taking the helicopter Marine One, and was then informed there was a change of plan, to take vehicles from Joint Base Andrews - hence the confusion.
Either way, it doesn't make for great optics.
Trump and his family were returning to Washington DC after spending the weekend at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Trump has spent over 20 per cent of his Presidency at one of his golf clubs, having frequently promised on the campaign trail he wouldn't spend the presidency playing golf and criticising Obama for playing the game.
Trump has outpaced Obama for golf rounds so far in his first term.
