Donald Trump is convinced that he would have run heroically into the scene of the school shooting in Florida earlier this month, even without a gun.
After criticising an officer who allegedly stayed outside during the shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that killed 17 on Monday, the US President told the gathering of governors at the White House:
You know I really believe, you don't know until you're tested, but I really believe I'd run in there, even if I didn't have a weapon, and I think most of the people in this room would've done that too.
Before you stand up, burst into applause and fan yourself after hearing of his overwhelming bravery, let's take a moment to cool down and look at the facts as told by the people of Twitter.
People are pointing out that Trump reportedly dodged being drafted 5 times.
And that he has appeared to panic in far less terrifying situations.
