TIME
It’s no secret that Donald Trump is perhaps the most thin-skinned person ever to sit in the Oval Office.
Since being elected, the former reality TV star has taken to Twitter to blast everyone from Meryl Streep and Kim Jong-un to Robert De Niro.
So it's unlikely he'll respond well to the most recent cover of TIME Magazine, which sharply responds to the ongoing situation surrounding the American border. In a week where children being separated from their parents and locked in cages shocked the world, TIME has fired back.
On the cover, the now-iconic image taken by John Moore of a young girl crying while her mother is being searched by agents at the U.S-Mexico border is edited to make her out to be looking up at Trump who looms over her, apparently uninterested in her tears.
Accompanying the image is the devastating phrase:
Welcome to America.
This isn’t the first time that TIME has depicted Trump on its cover in a less than flattering light. In April, the publication depicted him in a flooding office, using the word “Stormy” to reference his ongoing legal dispute with adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Though TIME also faced criticism for making Trump its “Person of the Year” in 2016, although this is accolade has never been meant as an endorsement. In 1938, the same accolade was awarded to Adolf Hitler.
