If you thought knowing something about how houses are built would be something of a requirement for a housing minister... well you may want to sit down for this next bit.

Speaking at the Tory Party conference today, Esther McVey has baffled most of the internet in a bizarre ramble about construction.

If we have this new way of doing it... 3D architects, 3D visionaries... doing it... with it on a computer... doing it... there's a whole new raft of jobs!

Nope, us neither.

And building three-dimensional houses is kind of crucial.

On a serious(ish) note, her lack of tech understanding seemed... troubling.
