Author and mental health activist Matt Haig has epically shut down Greta Thunberg haters in one tweet.
In response to the barrage of criticism levelled at the 16-year-old, he made a crucial point about why her age should absolutely not be used to discredit her message.
The tweet followed Thunberg's emotional speech at the UN climate action summit in New York this Monday, in which she told world leaders:
You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words
Her speech was impassioned, yet articulate, and many argue we should all be that emotional about the environmental issues we're facing.
But others are concerned that Thunberg's mental wellbeing is at stake.
